Grabbin Kitty's arm he said flatly "I think we should go". He tried to pull Kitty along with him to get as far away from this guy as possible. Supposedly he was a mad knife wielder, and so their best option was to get as far away from him as possible. He estimated they would need to be at least fifteen feet away to be truly safe. If the man tried to follow him then his shadow would grab the man and hold him fast. He moved away as quickly as possible with Kitty in tow.

Kitty frowned and pulled herself from Mortimer's grasp, "I don't need your help to walk." she hissed, "And don't you think we should say bye to Emanuel?"

Leaning in close he whispered "he's a serial killer. He kills for fun. Sorry but guys like that give me a nauseous feeling".

Kitty blinked, Emanuel had murdered an innocent begger just before, "Let's go." she stated and walked off.

Emanuel looked to the pair as they left, unfortunate.. he wasn't planning on hurting them. Oh well, he was sure that they would meet again someday, he could feel it. "Goodbye Kitty" he said, with something of a wave as he turned and walked away, he didn't seem at all enraged at being left alone, he didn't seem happy either. He just walked away and left the two to find something else to do.. possibly remove those damn wanted posters..

Kitty had a strange thought in her mind, even though Emanuel was an cold-hearted murderer he still had a feelings. But maybe this was just her, "Don't you think we still should have said bye?" Kitty asked Mortimer softly.

Mortimers reason for taking her away from the illusionist was not because he was a murdering sociopath... Well it was partially that, but he had an ulterior motive. About a week ago he had finnally gotten a message from Umi... he had seen or heard from Umi after he went searching for the great spirit of water. Mortimer hadn't thought Umi even alive much less able to contact him. Still the orders were simple, find Emanuel Frost and get him to attend everlast magic school.

Mortimer had no idea what Umi was thinking but the water mage usually had something or other up his sleeve. However Mortimer did not want to get Kitty involved. Whatever was going on here he knew it couldn't be good and most of all he didn't want her to get involved in it. Especially if it involved something like him. Using a shadow inside his coat he managed to pull out a buissness card, one which would provide the location and contact information for everlast, along with a simple message written on the back "If you wish to further your training come to this location". It was a simple message which Umi had told him to write on numerous buisness cards like it. Letting the card fall out of his coat, Mortimer hoped that the murderer would be able to figure it out from there.

If not... he could always try something else later, preferably when kitty wasn't around to get involved.
