How about we have classroom meetings, where you can get to know other people in the class, 'cause in the actual classes, not much people go around meeting each other.

Thats the kind of stuff you do during your free time isnt it? Im not mocking the idea, but since we dont focus of lessons anyways, why not converse during class??
