Marie had been dared to do this, and so tried to find the proper distraction. Anything would work... She just needed to find this person and steal something from him to win the money that the guys had bet. Good news was he was fairly distinctive in appearance, he wasn't that hard to find. Next she had to find a way to distract him... A small fire might do, or perhaps breaing something.

William casually strolled down the street. He had a whole bunch of openings, he helped an old lady cross the road, repair a guys bike, get a kitty down the street and seemed to get money from each person he helped, even though he didn't want it. "Sigh... I don't help people to get money." He mutters, he could feel someone following him, but it was just a kid. Like she'd do anything dangerous. Maybe she wanted an autograph? William had been getting more and more well known.

Marie saw the perfect opportunity, starting a fire in the grass as discreetly as she could. When he came running, she'd snatch something off of him and make a run for it. Not the best of her ideas, but she knew he'd likely realise no matter what she did.

[Let's see. Dexterity ten verses Perception and dexterity... What again? Ouch.]

As a fire started, William quickly rushed over to it as a sudden blur whizzed past him. "What!? A cheetah? A walrus? No! It was a human..." William quickly spins around, realizing the girl took his precious cap and quite a bit of money he just earnt. It was at least 300,000 drachma.

He lowered the fire with his magic and quickly took chase. He seemed to be faster, but he wanted to see where she was heading off too, so he acted as if he was tired already, dragging his feet as he ran.

Not aware she was being tricked by the 'Fire Punk', Marie continued to the dark alleyway where the guys were and showed them the cap. The boss didn't trust that it'd been done so easily though, and he was right.

William quickly made his way up to the top seeing the group rather hastily. He wasn't sure what to do about her, she was lead astray off her path and at this rate, would pay for it. "Fell Flames." He does a weaker version of the spell where needles of fire hail from the sky and aim to pierce his enemies and at least damage them to see their battle experience and levels.

Most of them were abe to take it fairly well, sheilding themselves with their own type of magic. The four gangbangers each used a different type of elemental magic, and the boss used what looked to be some sort of time magic, though it was of a rather unique sort. They were definitely not a match for William alone, but were roughly even match for him together. Still, they didn't want to risk a confrontation and so fled.

Marie used her force feild bucklers to block the incoming spray of flames... William could have beaten her easily had she tried to fight, she'd been barely able to block that attack. "Ok, ok! Here's you hat back!" She yelled exhausted, tossing the thing back to him.

William shundoed quickly over to her, looking her right in the eye only to break out in a smirk. "You're pretty skillful you know, for a little girl and all." He brings out his hand, grabbing the cap and placing it neatly on his head. "Buuuuut, you should use your abilities for good instead. You're definitely strong enough too," He gives her a weak flick on the forehead and pats her on the head, slightly ruffling her hair.

"Good... Evil. What's the difference. All I see is a struggle for survival." Marie stated more than questioned. "Still... You've proven yourself, and for that I will help you if you ever need it. I spend a lot of time around here... and please don't mess with my hair."

"Haha, such a cute kid." William ruffles her hair again as a joke. He gives a slightly bright smile to her. "I don't have any right to judge how you live or why you live for those reasons-- but remember. There's always room for change." He gives her a thumbs up.

Marie couldn't help but to smile back, walking away... She looked back for but a second. "At least there are others around who aren't overly judgemental..." She noted, thinking to herself... Who knew, maybe she and William would come to be good friends, in time.
