So, if you have a 1~3 or so meter barrier, then you are fine and dandy.

I don't have the slighest idea of what a feet is.
I just have the image in mind of a 3 bare feet, lined with each other and it's sort of fun.

It is measurement of distance.

3.3 feet = 1 meter
2.7 feet = 82 centimeters

Those 82 cm are the length of my Longsword, so yeah, it is just barely shorter than a meter, but still quite longer than a dagger.

As a starting weapon no, as a buy-able artifact yes.

If we takes this with the curse rules, you would have to make some sort of connection in order to make it work (Eye Contact, Stabbed them with it previously) otherwise its just an unblockable mind rape skills, which of course, is just an unblockable unblockable attack skill. I have a barrier for that, but if you want it:

1. Buy it (Not a starting weapon)

2. Create a condition for activation

Those two could be combined together, but yes, bad BRS

It is a close range, physical contact weapon, not much there worth changing, but it is not a curse.. making it into a curse-like weapon seems kinda stupid. The best real nerf I am willing to apply is something that either stops me from using the sword again on you for a set number period of time and even add-in a shorter cool-down period well. Otherwise, it will be less effective and more energy costly.
~5 minutes before I can use it again
~15 minutes before I can use it on the same person again


I'll just it a auto-barrier breaker like what dori thought it was. Unless your barrier is rank ten or over, I hope you don't enjoy it. To balance that out.. I won't be able to form a barrier while I am touching the sword.. and for even more fun, you won't be able to re-form your barrier if you are with-in 10 meters of me.

So, here it is now:
I can't form a barrier while it is near me (~10m)
You can't form a barrier while it is near yourself (~10m)
If the sword touches your barrier, then it is gone (unless it is Rank 10 or above)
Using the power means a constant flow of energy, even forcibly taken (lasts ~40 minutes when activated)


..or, I could make a sword that boost the power of my own barriers/magick-armor instead.. like +3 for low ranked, +2 for mid-ranked, and +1 for upper ranked.. maybe at the cost of using that rank of barrier.. or at least -1 of that Rank.



I really don't know what I want, but I want something extremely broken in one way or another but at least has some balance.

Barrier breakers or "Counters" as i call them, can only exceed something a rank greater than it or lower. and if you want a weapon like that, you're gonna have to pay for it...

Hell Yoko cant learn Zanmaken Ni-no-Tachi until he gets to rank 12 or so. So unless you want to wait until them, your probably not gonna get it

I was also thinking of it being a barrier buffer instead, rather than boosting the ability, it lowers the cost and maintaining/creation energy needed.
Rank 1-5, becomes a Rank 1 Cost, if not less
Rank 6-8, subtracts 3 from the cost
Rank 9-11, subtracts 2 from the cost
Rank 12-14, subtracts 1 from the cost



Another fun thing would be having some sort of energy slash version of my anti-barrier weapon, going down by 1 rank every 3 meters.
Like a Rank 5 version of it would destroy a Rank 6 barrier with-in 5 meters, a Rank 5 with-in 10 meters, then a Rank 4 with-in 13 meters, then a Rank 3 with-in 16 meters, and so on and so on..
but that would be a fun technique.. maybe even a sniper version of it..
