Magari rested in the shade of the remains of an old wall, somewhere in the Barious Desert were the remains of an ancient darcsen city, an archeological treasure trove potentially... Maybe even some information about the truth behind the Darcsen Calamity? Her talk with her only non-darcsen friend in the world had once again kindled Magari's desire to find the truth. If only the sun hadn't been quite so strong...

Tairus caught up to Magari in the distance. He was catching his breath, like a scrub, and handed Magari her sandwich which he held in his lunch box. Tairus takes in a large sigh and gapes upon the ruins that stand before him. Upon closer inspection, Tairus sees the walls and how they form structures that may have been once a building of some sort.

"What happened to this place?" Asked Tairus, while he fumbles around his lunch box looking for his sandwich.

Magari accepted the sandwich warily, not really knowing the person she was with right now but deciding to be polite. After a moment she heard her companion ask what had happened here. "A-ah, this is... All that remains of a city destroyed in what is called the Darcsen Calamity long ago..." Magari spoke with her quiet halting voice. "It is my hope... to find some clues as to the truth of that matter..." Magari said quietly, taking a drink from her bottle, wishing again that the sun wasn't quite so strong. All around them great gouges in the earth, blast marks on the remaning walls and craters spoke of a terrible event of long ago, most of it covered by the drifting sands... Sands hiding the truth.

Tairus shrugged his shoulders and whimsically and charismatically asked, "well... want to see what it hides? I mean there could be something really cool in there!"
