I use this chart when making anything, I based the stat boost on 10 Int = 4 Points

So if it's rank like say 7 and you wanted to put a buff on a guy instead of one stat it'll be like...+6 str,accuracy and speed for it to get the full 18 points?

Or can you still put it all into one stat but with severe diminishing returns like...If you wanted it so badly the thing gets reduced to just +10 strength instead of the full 18?

Depends on the equation:
At Rank 7, it is +/- 18 points, so at Rank*2, you can place 14 points into a single stat and the other 4 into a different stat.
Alternatively, at Rank*2.5, you can place ~18 (round up) into the single stat, so all of them can go into one stat.

Separately, Rank 7 is 16 points, and at Rank*2, you can play 14 into a single, and the other 2 into a different.
Separately Alternative, at Rank*2.5, you can play ~18 (round up) into a single stat, so all of them can go into one stat.

Considering that a +30 buff is enough to put someone in a whole nother stat bracket, it might be a little OP'd

..a Rank 5 skill is +10 SP, which is Rank*2=10, so he or she can dump all the points into what he wants.

Debuffs I mean

it can cripple ppl to have no 0 in a stat unless something prevents it to have less then 1/4 of their max or something ^^

A Rank 5 in the current system is enough to cripple a newb ~

Not quite, at about Rank 8-9 it gets severely overpowered, the rates just arent good.

I was thinking the same. The actual system is good as it is before you reach the intel cap. When it get a lot harder to boost your spell, the "2*rank" make it lame.

At the current system, you need a Rank 15 to get a 30 SP boost, but a Rank 15 Skill is 150 INT cost.. that is 1/5 of the points spent on it.. and that is godly level.

My system, at Rank 15, you get 70, which is almost half of the points payed to get to that level.
My alternate system, at Rank 15, you get 55, which is a third of the points payed for that rank of skill.

Now then, a Rank 9 gives 18 points at the current system, which is slightly more than 1/3 of the 50 INT cost.
My system gives a Rank 9 boost 30 points, which is 3/5 of a 50 INT cost.
Alternatively, Rank 9 gives 25 points, which is 1/2 of its 50 INT cost.

Yes but an over +30 stat boost is enough to put you far ahead of everyone else, and make newbies strong enough to fight high level players.

Flex* Umi can buff up all the newbs and take over the forums!

30 won't be so much once we'll have something like 100 of stats. Level rank 9 are mean to be strong.

But right now, the problem is that +30 of stat, casted over a new player, could make too much of a difference.

A limit of stat boosting should be put, : Can get more than a third of his actual stat in term of boost.

It's RP in the way that someone couldn't control his speed if he were to be boosted too much.
