(Named after a section of the heart sutra "Mu-mu-myo-yaku-mu")

Umi and Yoko arrived at the other side of the Gateport, the closet one they could find brought them to Europe and after hours of sitting on a plane, arrived at there hometown in Kyoto. The streets were littered with people as it normally was, but the eerie feelings of death, destruction and powerful killer intent, the underground of the city was run by the 13 Buddhas, a hidden faction within the Kansai Magic Association that supplied them with Shinmeiryuu bodyguards.
Such a system was the exact reason that Umi and Yoko met, and years of fighting and killing demons and humans for the organization, they finally left for the magical world.

Umi felt solemn, coming to Kyoto brought of fear and terror they thought they could escape in the Magical World, but the recent events seemed to point to the 13 Buddhas eventual trek into the Magical World for some unknown purpose, possibly to kill the 2 traitorous teens that broke the greatest rule of the organization. Deciding that their deaths here would save many more lives, as well as free Umi and Yoko from their torment, they pair went after them in their base of operations.

Yoko: I guess were breaking those out again?

Yoko followed Umi to the end of a block, in an old abandoned house they had used quite often as a base of operations in their downtime. In the decrepit house they found an old box they used to store their weapons, among them Vajra's for exorcism, various knives, swords and Umi's old shining silver Mamba pistol, for use in assassinations. The box was covered in the symbol of the 13 Buddhas, a Buddha holding a demon in its palms, surrounded by 13 bolts of lightning.

Yoko: As long as this is the last time we use any of this..

Umi: It is, after that we can give this all up, forever, fighting isnt really my thing anyways.

Umi gripped the gun he stored away for years, 3 years later it was still so cold, lifeless and deadly it made Umi feel sick, he tested it out and shot it at the wall next to them, just as it had worked 3 years ago it blasted a bullet from the chamber and shattered the wall, it was modified to work with Umi's magic and accelerate the bullet several times faster and become several times stronger, they changed into their old battle outfits, built specifically for their organizations work

Umi: Alright, its time we leave for the temple.

Yoko: You mean the Higashi Otani Mausoleum? its not even a temple

Yoko tracked the Ki signatures to find out if the locations of the 13 Buddhas, an ungodly, dangerous group of Ki was centered around Higashi Otani, so they made their way to the mausoleum. Arriving at the Mausoleum, they made their way towards the entrance, guarded by two swordsmen.

Guards: State your business.

Yoko could tell from their Ki, swords and attitude that they were from Shinmeiryuu, but the feeling of the Ki was much less intense than the 13 Buddhas, most likely just Initiates sent to guard meaningless things. Yoko drew his sword, and was already on top of the guards with his sword.

Yoko: Raimeiken!

The extreme electrical discharge from Yoko's blades blew apart the ground around the two initiates, Umi seized this chance to come up behind one of them. Too his surprised Yoko had cleaved their swords into pieces. Umi seized the chance to knock them out with Undegratio Azuricans

Umi: If you want to be killed, then by all means fight us, dont get in our way..

They continued onward towards the inner sanctum of the Mausoleum.

Yoko: Dumbass this was a trap!!!

Yoko and Umi entered the inner sanctum, the door behind them closed and the fire at the center of the room went out, leaving it pitch-black. around them they could here the sounds of claws, teeth and feel the presences of killer beings around them.

Yoko: Umi, stand on the hearth, we're surrounded!

Umi: We're surrounded by demons, not like we havent done this before, the extreme darkness was a nice touch though...

Umi was not too terrified, in fact his rage made him cockier than normal, they had been in this room before, back when they we're training they would have them stay in here for all manner of survival and fighting exercises, but normally the room was not pitch-black.

Yoko: We're continuing on after this, Hyakkuretsu Okazan!

Yoko drew a circle on the ground with his sword and unleashed a storm of Ki petals, they swirled outward like a whirlpool and embedded their sharp edges into the demons that surrounded them. The storm swirled outward a blew apart the wall in front of them.

Umi: GeroGero! 29 spiritus undiales, coentes saggitet inimicum, sagitta magica, series Undis...

Umi charged up his attack spell and delayed it so that he could charge it later, they moved on to find the inner sanctum of the mausoleum surrounded by a powerful barrier, it was of an entire different style of magic and ki arts.

Umi: I got this, i have skill as an anti-barrier user. Guard me ill be out for a few...

Yoko:You better make it fast, we dont have time to spare...

Yoko was well aware of Umi's skill as a Barrier Penetrator, bounded fields and other such things were an easy things to overcome, but the time it took for Umi to get through them would make it unusable in combat. He wasn't quite sure HOW he did it, but was confident that he would get through it. After several minutes of waiting, Yoko was wondering what was taking so long... But his thoughts were cut short by the arrival of several Shinmeiryuu Intiates, all of whom must have been only 10 or 12. Yoko didnt want to hurt children, the 13 Buddha's were what he was after, he used his Ki, making it so large and menacing that the stood paralyzed with fear, and dropped their weapons, a small burst of Ki he flung at them sent them running in shock. Intimidation wasnt a Shinmeiryuu skill, but the 13 Buddhas found it practical enough to keep mundanes and weak individuals from getting in the way of their targets.

Umi: This one will take a while.

Umi could tell from feeling the barrier that it was not something made from Western Magic or Eastern Magic. Ki techniques would be the next best guess, so Umi set about preparing on sliding through the barrier. He held the title of Kekkaishi in the organization given his knack for barriers and jutsu, he didnt really learn any Western Magic until he arrived at school a few months ago. He cleared his mind and stopped all magic flowing through his body, but the power of the barrier was to great for him to slip through.

Umi: There's something off about this Kekkai, it blocks Magic, Ki, and physical objects, its gonna be almost impossible to get through. They must be powerful kekkaishi on their team..

Yoko: We're kinda out of time on that one..

Yoko felt an extreme killer intent, the Ki surrounding the individual making his way towards them was downright sickening. Yoko brought his guard up as the demon of a man came at him, it was Fudo Myo'o. Fudo was a most sadistic of the 13 Buddhas, gigantic and sullen like a monster from someone's nightmares, the only he enjoyed was reveling in the kill. He carried two kodachi, made for human targets and had permanently black eyes, all but the iris was shrouded in darkness.

Fudo: I was wondering when you kids would come back, you gave us quite a scare when you left, no one had ever dared to leave us like you brats did! I've been waiting to add you guys to list! Hien Batto Kasumi-kiri!

Fudo charged at Yoko with his blades held at his sides, he jumped into the air and brought his weight down onto Yoko, who barely blocked the attack with his nodachi, which started to chip away from the sheer might of his attack

Umi: Yoko! take him, we each handle a Buddha one on one remember, ill break through this!

Umi forced his hands against the sides of the Kekkai and focused, trying to eljminate any traces of thought or magic he had to slip through the barrier. When that didnt work he tried to apply water magic to the barrier to weaken it, but that didnt work either. The only way in was to break it by force. Unleashing his delayed spell, he activated it with another Convergetia spell, creating his Tritus Sagitta technique, they drilled into the side of the barrier, but he would need more power than that. He looked behind him and saw Yoko was struggling to stay alive against Fudo Myo'o. So Umi tried harder.

Yoko: I cant fight like this... gonna die...

Yoko was backed into a corner by Fudo, the enormous stature of the man made defended against his attack nearly impossible. Luckily Fudo chose one target at a time and lost track of anyone else, so Umi was fine chipping away at the barrier. Sensing the urge kill rise in he body, he decided it was best not to fight it anymore, and unleashed the repressed side of himself he had hid. Giving in to the dark side of Shinmeiryuu, his eyes turned black, leaving only piercing white irises. His Ki exploded with incredible heat, enough to burn Fudo just by being in its presence. The pain meant nothing anymore, just the urge to kill the man in front of him was pushing him.

Yoko: Kyokudai Raimeiken!

Umi: Got it!

Umi's Magic Berserk was activated spontaneously, it sometimes activated by accident whenever he was in close proximity to Yoko's dark side, or when he came up against something he couldnt beat. His hands, rather than slide through the barrier, started to crack from the touch of Umi's hand. He dealt a quick punch to it and broke through it. Umi walked through towards the inner sanctum, leaving Yoko to deal with Fudo.

Yoko's ougi dealt a huge blow to the devil-man. His kodachi, forged from steel and hard as diamonds from the ki sent through it, we're destroyed and left in pieces. Fudo himself was hardly wounded, but left defenseless against Yoko's further assault. the 13 Buddhas, unlike the previous masters of the art, had godlike skill with their blades, but didnt train in any of the other arts, meaning the advantage Fudo had was now Yoko's. Fudo, was left shocked, this kid had never had the ability to stand against their abominable sword skills, but now he was left at this kids mercy.

Fudo: You never had this much strength before! I wont stand for this defeat!

Yoko: All it takes is a little spirit and you can do amazing things..Zanganken!

Yoko continued after Umi towards the inner sanctum, wiping the blood off his sword.

Umi: This was....unexpected...

Umi made his way into the inner sanctum, a shrine surrounded by their namesake, 13 Buddhas holding lightning in their hands. Underneith the buddha's were elaborate thrones, only 3 of which were occupied. Shaku, Monju and Fugen, all older members left behind so that they could keep the stronghold protected. Their bodies were frail and weaker than some of the newer members, but their skill in Ki-techniques was amazing, they had constructed the barrier outside and were already aware of Umi's arrival.

Fugen: So you returned Ryuusui, we know why you're here, but we must defend the honour of the 13 Buddhas! Zanganken-Ni-no-Tachi!

Yoko: Hey, the Kekkai's back up, i cant get in there

Yoko was left outside while Umi dealt with the other Buddhas, he knew they buddhas had communicated by shikigami, so Yoko activated his shikigami and turned it into swallow that spoke the word "Prajna", a signal to return to Mausoleum immediately. with everything in place Yoko waited for a brief time, lingering in the revenge he deserved.

Umi: Hah! try again.

Umi had seen the Ni-no-Tachi series of moves before and knew several ways to counter them, pushing his reinforcement to the max, he jumped away from the attack, which slid through his barrier but hit the ground next to him. Monju got up as well, Shaku was busy keeping the Kekkai stable, and unleashed his Zantetsusen Umi blocked this with his barrier, but felt the attack shatter the barrier with unexpected strength. Fugen moved behind Umi and moved in for the kill. With increased reflexes, he ducked the attack and chanted a spell.

Umi: GeroGero! Una Undina concidens tempesta, in mea manu inimicum edat, Undegratio Azuricans!

The attack pushed Fugen back against the wall momentarily weakening his Shintoukei. Monju was distracted by the sudden reversal, Umi seized the chance and invaded his mind, the increase in Magic power gave Umi enough power to activate something he never thought he could. Monju screamed in agony as he was surrounded by pillars of flame slowly burning away at his Ki armor. While he was distracted Umi pulled out his Mamba and aimed it at the weakened Fugen, he turned away at what he was gonna do, the thought of killing sickened him, and pulled the trigger.

Yoko heard the gunshot, but it was at the back of his mind as he waited in impatience for the 9 other Buddhas to appear. he brought out his artifact and hid it in his hakama, he might need it for a sneak attack.

Umi also moved in to take out the distracted Monju, already suffering from the illusion Umi has caused, pulling the trigger once more, he moved to take out Shaku, the Buddha holding up the Kekkai, realizing that the other 2 were already taken out, Shaku brought down the barrier and drew his sword sending the edge flying out at Umi, who blocked the simple attack and shot Shaku as well.

Umi was suffering internally, the magic berserk that had been going on for so long ended after the traumatic experience he put himself through, his sides ached from the extended magic use, using his Sanare spell, the pain was abated somewhat. Umi exited the sanctum and met Yoko outside, just as the other Buddhas had arrived

Yoko: Hyakkaryoran!

Yoko thoughtlessly charged at the remaining Buddhas and unleashed his Ki attack, his wave of cherry blossoms flew outward, but a fast attack blew away the technique and knocked Yoko back, sending him flying into the ground. Finally gaining composure Yoko got a good look at his enemies, there were only 5 of them, he recognized some of them and others he didnt.

Yoko: Whats wrong, why are there only 5 of you??

One of the buddhas answered for him, Umi recognized him as Kannon, one of the stronger Buddha's with a scar across his entire face, answered for him.

Kannon: So its you two? if you havent heard, we've been hunted continuously since you two escaped, your departure got the Kansai Magic Association talking and we were expelled, now we live today as but a shadow, we've lost many Buddha's and replaced some, now only Amida, Kokuzo and I are the only three remaining, the rest our new members.

Umi wondered why he didnt see Kokuzo among the group, 3 of them we're hooded, and none of them gave off as evil a presence as Kokuzo. He assumed he was not among the group. Their presence had activated Umi's magic berserk and forced him to attack recklessly

Umi: GeroGero! Undesexginta Spiritus Undiales, coentes sagittet inimicum! Sagitta Magica series Undis!

The barrage of blue light hit the group straight on, several of the newer members were knocked back, but Amida and Kannon charged towards the pair at extreme speeds, Yoko jumped in front of Umi and blocked both attacks with his sword, the sword was starting to crack, another Ki attack would break the sword, he flung his sword at Kannon, while Amida circled around him and tried to stab Yoko directly from behind, seeing it as the best chance to use it, Yoko grabbed the wakizashi in his hakama and activated its ability, the wakizashi, held at his side, extended outward and stuck Amida, who only a few inches away from Yoko, as run through by the nodachi.

Yoko: Zankusen!

Umi: Una Undina Concidens Tempestas, In Mea Manu Inimicum edat! Undagratio Azuricans

Umi went after the new members, trying to decipher which one was Kokuzo, launching his attack, it was cut in half by one of the Buddha's who leapt up at Umi on his broom.
