I have to find Crystals, thats the only story i can think of.

Exactly. There's barely a story. It's like Mario; tedious. A story for an RPG like Final Fantasy means a LOT.

If you've played RPG's, even with great gameplay, a great story is needed. Final Fantasy #1 and #3 lack in this so much. This is why the 3D FF games are better, because they have a plot.

Obviously not the only part of the story. The story is, Noah is a great magus who gave his three disciples gifts. Xande got the gift of mortality. Xande was pissed because he couldn't handle the thought of dying. So he drained the crystals of their power to upset the balance of light and darkness, so time would freeze, and he wouldn't die. However, the dumbass didn't know that upsettign the balance would actually summon the Cloud of Darkness. Cloud of Darkness wants to return the world to nothing, and the four heros have to stop him and by extension her. A lot of other stuff happens too.

Excuse me, um, what? Have you played FF1 and FF3 enough to GET to the story? Or did you start playing, didn't get to the first dungeon and then quit? Because FF1 has a GREAT story, that's why Final Fantasy is so famous as a series, because it had gameplay AND a great story.

That makes it sound more interesting if it wasn't for the lack of horrendous graphics, bad character designs and overall meh gameplay. :3

EXACTLY. They're (probably) going to make a remake one of these days, so I don't really find a point of playing the NES version. Well if you want to play it earlier, then sure, but...

Wut...? To be fair; I've never played the 3D Final Fantasy games, HOWEVER, they definitely are more popular giving me a basis to assume that it's because of the better plot, graphics and designs.

Okay, they already made remakes of both FF3 and FF1. And yes, the 3D games are better than the 2D ones, in my opinion. Except 9.

I play it cause im bored, and i heard its good, idc if its a FF game
