Daisuke had not planned for what Mortimer had up under his sleeve or perhaps his shadow. After emerging from his cover blazing in flames, had he been throw to graze upon his own partner, Taurou. Luckly it had not been of a direct nor a critical damage but still Daisuke still flew straight without anything to stop him. Seeing as Mortimer had started to summon his weapon with it aimed at Daisuke, he decided that he would instead send all those flaming sagitta magica straight ahead from where he was thrown which would be directed at Mortimer as well as Taurou slightly to the side.

He stretched both of his hand side to side and then quickly move it forwards as though it looked like 5 flaming spears which were covering the form of his Overdrive underneath heads for Mortimer. The recklessness of doing that in mid-air send him flying into a tree as though he was just blown off by an explosion. He covered his hack for protection to avoid a crash. He then shouted out "Get back and guard!" He thought of regrouping with Taurou since it may be safer that way.

Taurou blinks a few times to make sure that the spell that was thrown at him wasn't an illusion. Daisuke saved my arse this time. . . Taurou thought. His instincts told him to dive right for Mortimer and tear him to shreds, but seeing as how that Daisuke flew into a tree and looked wounded, he decided to help out the child. Poen a dioddefaint, Exarmatio! Taurou called out and aimed at the ground in front of him, kicking up a dust screen again as he sprinted and regrouped with Daisuke. You all right?

Mortimer felt the power of his atifact begin to weaken and so ended its activation prematurely returning it to its simple gun state, and also leaving himself much weaker. his strength was now roughly half of what it normally was...still, his other attributes remained untouched. He was just as dextrous and just as hardy but he was barely able to lift a sword or deliver a powerful punch in his current state.

Still he was lucky....or perhaps unlucky. His students were doing remarkably well against a much more powerful opponent, still they should be more aware of his tricks by now. Leaving Mortimer even a moment of breathing room could very well have been a costly mistake.

Ordering his minions to fire blindly into the smoke, he hoped to pin down Daisuke and Taurou while he encanted his next spell. The Nocturna Nigredinis began to form around him and once completed in conjunction with his shadow armor he would be nearly untouchable. His big question now, was how his students would be able to pierce through something as unbelievably armored as he was about to be. Heaven help them if he should manage to get his THIRD layer up.

While he was firing those 5 flaming spears which were a combination of his Overdrive and Sagitta Magica, he was unstable in mid air causing the coordinates of firing to alter which ends up 2 heading for Mortimer and 2 more stuck one of the minions with the remaining 1 to struck the ground near to one of the other minions. Sadly he couldn't see the outcome after Taurou had cause the dust of cloud ahead of them which also blinded them to see what was going on with Mortimer at the opposite side.

Truly said, it is risky to even leave Mortimer with a breather though Daisuke wouldn't give up anyhow. He told Taurou "I'm fine, guard us both as a surprise attack from him wouldn't be surprising by now," He stood up and not to forget his earlier attack was a merge of his Overdrive which was still connected to his arm, with it he could telll quite well how the situation is therefore using the two that went for Mortimer to distract and restrict him while trying to interupt 2 of his minions aim towards Mortimer and then throw those minions to one side slamming against each other. Not to forget that he couldn't interupt the single remaining minion's aim that was firing earlier which was the reason why he needed Taurou to protect him.
